John & Brittany.

Those in the know have watched them evolve from uncertain beginnings in the cramped corners of the mid-Atlantic's open mic circuit to full on rock 'n roll dervishes worthy of the large stages, radio airplay, and MTV videos they have graduated to. From their stylistically sprawling self-titled 2011 debut EP to 2013's rock 'n roll blitzkrieg breakthrough "Start Sinning," these unlikely best friends have followed their musical bliss where ever it leads them.

On this, their third release, J&B pull some of their biggest anthems out of the stratosphere and down to earth into a state of pure intimacy. Recorded on May 17, 2013 at Springhouse Sound in King of Prussia, PA before a live in studio audience, John Faye and Brittany Rotondo, along with bassist Michael O'Brien and drummer/studio owner Carl Bahner recorded a different side to J&B, but it's actually one that has been there all along.

Every John & Brittany song begins with the duo in a room with two acoustic guitars, un-amplified, un–filtered. What you hear on this recording is as close as it gets to being in that room with them.

Each song has a genesis, springing forth from the cinematic lyrical chaos that Brittany brings to the table. But that is only the start of a creative process that never follows the beaten path. Like a back-and-forth chess match, there is the exchange of ideas, rejection of ideas, revision of ideas, full on knock-down-dragout arguments. All worth it in the end, because the results are something that neither one could create on their own.

From the cozy house concert feel of these un-plugged renditions to the verbal jabs between songs, this snapshot of J&B brings you right into their world.
